Addis Ababa: Official Spokesperson Platform
The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, received today at his residence in Addis Ababa, where he arrived today on an official visit, the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Mr. Moussa Faki.
The meeting touched on the situation in Sudan and the efforts made to resolve the Sudanese crisis.
The President of the Sovereignty Council briefed the Chairman of the African Union Commission on the developments of the situation in Sudan regarding the rebellion led by the terrorist Rapid Support militia against the state and its targeting of civilians, public installations and facilities, and its commission of humanitarian atrocities against innocent citizens.
Lieutenant General Al-Burhan confirmed the government’s intention and cooperation with all the initiatives proposed to address this issue. Praising the efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America through the Jeddah platform in finding a solution to the crisis, in addition to the efforts of the African Union and IGAD, which in their entirety are aimed at sustaining peace and stability in Sudan.
