Discussing relations and enhancing cooperation between Sudan and Iran

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Sadiq Ali, met this morning, Saturday, January 20, 2024, on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement summit, held in Kampala city – Uganda, with Mr. Mohammad Mokhber, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The meeting reviewed the progress of relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and strengthen cooperation and joint coordination at the bilateral, regional and international levels. The Minister also briefed the senior Iranian official on developments in the situation in Sudan and the efforts made by the government to establish security and stability.

The Minister also discussed with the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran the ways to restore bilateral relations between the two countries and accelerate the steps to reopen embassies between them.
