The President and members of the Sovereignty Council, mourn to Allah Almighty the late, God willing, the distinguished scholar, Professor Al-Hebir Youssef Nour Al-Daim, who passed away today.
When the Sovereignty Council mourns him, it is mourning for the Sudanese people, one of the most distinguished scholar in the Arabic language, and the few who knew the Arabic language and its literature, and all the people witnessed that, and knowledgeable in language, jurisprudence, literature, and poetry, and his biography was characterized by wisdom and good preaching. The deceased was a star of enlightenment with the light of the Qur’an, where he presented many preaching programs and interpretations of the Qur’an throughout his career full of efforts. He was knowledgeable of the Qur’an and its sciences and an interpreter who pondered its meanings and indications.
The Council expressed its mercy on the soul of the deceased, asking Allah Almighty to admit him to Paradise with the believers, martyrs, and the righteous, and to be a good companion to those. We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
