Consultant Geologist, Osman Suleiman Hammad, yesterday evening, Friday, assumed his duties as Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, succeeding the previous Director General, Mubarak Abdel Rahman Ardoul, the handover and receiving ceremony for the Company between them was completed, at the Headquarters of the General Authority for Geological Research in the city of Port Sudan, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Ministry of Minerals in charge of duties of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Consultant Geologist Ahmed Haroun Al-Toum, Chairman of the Handover and Receiving Committee, Assistant Director General for Financial and Administrative Affairs of the Company, Dr. Meqdam Khalil Ibrahim, Director of Ariab Mining Company, Engineer Nasr Al-Din Al-Hussein, Representative of the Mining Police, Representative of Mineral Security and Economics, and a number of Directors of Public and subsidiary Departments of the Company.

The Director General, Geologist Osman Suleiman Hammad, pledged to continue efforts and work to complete previous projects to develop the mining sector, noting that the country is going through challenges that require the combined efforts of all workers in the mining sector to achieve the Company’s goals aimed at stabilizing mining activity and supporting the national economy.
For his part, the “former” Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mubarak Abdel-Rahman Ardoul, thanked all the employees of the Company and their contribution to the achievements achieved by reaching the highest productivity of gold metal in the Company’s history, referring to the assistance of the Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abu Nammu, and the Director of the Ministerial Executive Office and their unlimited support in setting policies and taking care of the Company until it reaches the stage of stability.
