The Minister of Culture and Information visits media institutions in Gazira State

The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel Qader visited Gazira State, accompanied by Dr. Al-Hadi Ali, Minister of Culture and Information in the state, and met with the Director of the Authority of Televisionor, Gazira State and the Authority’s employees. He listened to a detailed report on the progress of work and the achievements made by the Authority during the period of war that the country has been witnessing since the fifteenth of last April, in addition to its cooperation with all Federal and state media institutions in terms of hosting some federal media institutions as well as activating joint production with counterpart bodies, the visit witnessed the visit of Belady Radio, which was hosted by the Authority.

The Minister of Culture and Information said that the visit comes within the framework of inspecting the media institutions in Gazira state, noting that azira is the second lung of Khartoum in terms of the history of the establishment and rootage of its media institutions.

Dr. Graham said that he is following up with the state leadership on everything related to the media issue, pointing out the necessity of developing the Gazira State channel and radio stations to be at the center’s level in terms of cadres, devices, equipment, and broadcasting range.

He added that it is necessary to know the shortcomings in performance in order to address them in the future, with a focus on training and raising the capabilities of workers to confront weak points.

He praised the appreciated efforts of the state Radio and Television Authority and said that Algazeera channel is a voice for all Sudanese, and this is an indication of the solidarity and comfort of the people of the state, which has been known since ancient times.
He thanked the people of Gazira for standing with their families arriving from Khartoum and helping them absorb the shock of the war.

On the other hand, the Minister of Culture and Information visited Radio Belady and met with the Director of the Radio, Mr. Aboud Seif El-Din, who provided a report on the Radio’s performance, he said that the Radio now covers Khartoum, Omdurman, and large parts of the Nile River State.

At the end of his visit, Graham expressed his happiness with this visit to Wad Madani, stressing that the harmony of media work between Radio Beladi and other media institutions gives a distinct indication of the unity of vision, which indicates that all employees in the Authority work hard and diligently and exchange ideas and visions, stressing the importance of training in all its modern fields, whether visual or audio and keeping up with updates and technologies.

The Minister reviewed the progress of the performance at the Creators House and Theater, in addition to visiting the offices of the Official Spokesman Platform and the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).
