The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Animal Resources, Dr. Hassan Al -Tom Abdalla, issued an administrative decision that allows importers to import slaughtered broiler poultry in accordance with the applicable health requirements to protect the poultry industry in the country.
The decision was issued based on the report of the field surveys that took place in a number of states that confirmed the presence of a gap in poultry meat and products, due to the war in the country since its outbreak on April 15th in Khartoum, which led to the destruction of poultry farms completely, causing the creation a big gap in the production of poultry meat and its high prices by more than 150 % from the start of the war until September.
It is mentioned that this decision will last for six months from the date of its implementation.
