The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, saluted the martyrs of the Armed Forces and the Sudanese people who responded to the call of the nation in defense of its sovereignty, pride and dignity.
When addressing the officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Atbara Artillery Corps, Al-Burhan said that the Artillery Corps represents the tip of the spear in the battle of dignity led by the Armed Forces against the rebel Rapid Support militia, praising the struggles of the Artillery Corps members and their advanced role in protecting the homeland, stressing the keenness of the leadership of the Armed Forces to pay attention to the Artillery Corps by upgrading and developing its capabilities and providing it with modern technologies.
Al-Burhan added that this war was imposed on us and we did not choose it, indicating that there is a group that wants to swallow up Sudan, stressing that behind this war are two brothers who are seeking their own interests, noting that the propaganda on which the war was based is false and misleading propaganda. He said, “We are confident of victory in the battle of dignity thanks to the people’s support their Armed Forces.”
Al-Burhan said, “We are moving towards ending this war and this cancer that has afflicted the body of the state”. He added, “This army is the homeland’s army, and there is no entity or party that has control over it”. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces praised the level of alert that included most of the states of Sudan in order to stand by the Armed Forces, to support the will of the Sudanese people for freedom, peace and justice.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stated that no one rejects peace, but it must be a peace that preserves the country’s dignity, pride and sovereignty.
