The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Marine Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, met today in Port Sudan with the Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, Engineer Adil Hassan, and the meeting touched on the status of the communications sector in the country and efforts to promote and develop it.
The Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation said in a press statement that the meeting dealt with supporting the efforts of telecommunications companies to restore their services better than they were before the war, stressing the Ministry’s determination to strengthen coordination between them and telecommunications companies in order to develop and upgrade this vital sector.
Engineer Adil said that his Ministry is ready with the Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority to cooperate with all telecommunications companies to upgrade their services and provide the best service to citizens, indicating that his Ministry is in the process of establishing a national data center in the city of Port Sudan, which will help quickly restore electronic services.
