The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim praised the great efforts made by the state in combating dengue fever, stressing the need to focus interventions in the areas where fevers are most widespread. During his meeting with officials from the health sector in the state of Gazira, he acknowledged that the wide population spread that the state witnessed helped in the emergence of dengue fever and the increase in the number of infected people, calling on foreign and national organizations to play a major role in improving water sources, especially in shelter centers.<\/p>\n
Najwa Mohamed Mohamed Ibrahim, Supervisor of the General Administration of Health Emergencies and Epidemic Control in the state, indicated that the number of institutions operating in the state is 858 institutions, of which 194 institutions have stopped providing service for security reasons because they are located in conflict areas in Al Kamlin Locality (north of the Gazira).
