The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Adam Bakhit, Minister of Social Development, met in the hall of the Ministry of Finance with the leaders of the Supreme Council for Coordination of Dinka of Abyei Affairs in Sudan, headed by Mr. Chol Muen Bul, Chairman of the Council, and a number of Council leaders at the central and state levels, and Lieutenant General Ibrahim Almaz, the Advisor of the Council.<\/p>\n
The ministers listened to a briefing about the Council\u2019s efforts to follow up and address the issues and challenges facing the people of Abyei in various fields related to identification documents, health, education, civil service, services, humanitarian affairs, rights and duties issues, and alleviating the suffering of the people of Abyei in light of the ongoing war in the country and the efforts made during the last period in all states of Sudan.<\/p>\n
Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, welcomed the leadership of the Council and their role in defense and the great efforts in introducing the issue of Abyei and the suffering of its people and highlighted it as an important issue that deserves support and standing with it so that its people can enjoy security, safety, stability, peace, and services in the fields of health, education, recruitment, and participation in the civil service and various state agencies, he saluted the leaders of the Council and their support for the leadership of the state.<\/p>\n
His Excellency also renewed his support and direct care for the issues of the people of Abyei and sought to address and resolve all the problems and obstacles facing them and support their issue in all platforms.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Mr. Ahmed Adam Bakhit, Minister of Social Affairs, spoke about the importance of the Abyei issue and his role in the issues of the people of Abyei in areas related to social and humanitarian affairs, supporting health activities, alleviating the cost of living and poverty, supporting vulnerable families, and providing health insurance cards. His Excellency directed the humanitarian aid commissions in the states to sponsor and support the people of Abyei within the framework of supporting local communities in the states.<\/p>\n
For his part, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Almaz, Advisor of the Supreme Council of the Ngok Dinka, praised the efforts of the Council\u2019s leaders in paying attention to the challenges facing the people of Abyei in Sudan, he also appreciated the role of the Ministers of Finance and Economic Planning and the Minister of Social Development in their support and care for all societal issues and the Abyei community in particular.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
